Richdel R422 110v Spa Solar Differential Temperature Thermostat Pump Controller. This is a brand new spa solar controller, that turns an independent fractional horsepower spa solar pump on/off, based on the sliding thermostat setting, to circulate spa water through your spa solar panels, collecting solar heat to increase spa water temperature. From my experience, you should have an independent pump suction source from the spa, not tied to spa filter plumbing (whose pump would almost certainly overpower a fractional HP spa solar pump), and the size of the spa solar pump should not exceed 1/6 h.p (see optional info below). A 10k sensor pack is included, with a 10k block sensor (solar panel location), and a 10k immersion sensor (spa piping location) to be installed on spa suction/filter piping. Optional wiring: If you are familiar with relay operations, you can modify this control to trigger an independent relay, using it to control a larger HP pool or spa solar pump. For this purpose, this control triggers a 120v (pump) signal, which can instead be used to trigger a 120v coil on a relay, with output relay contacts rated in a much higher range, even controlling a 240v pump.
